Driving directions to Aspen Hollow Lodging, Kasilof (pronounced Ka - see - loff)
Your total drive is about 170 miles, and will take 3-4 hours.

Out of Anchorage, follow the SEWARD Highway (AK Route #1) south towards Seward/ Homer. Travel approx. 90 miles and take the southbound exit onto the STERLING Highway towards Soldotna/ Homer - it arcs off to your right.  Continue on this through the Cooper Landing and Sterling areas. You will hit your first stop light as you come into the City of Soldotna.

(Note:  We suggest you consider purchasing groceries in Soldotna. At your first stop light there is a "Fred Meyer" grocery store, or go to the third stop light and there is a "Safeway" store by the McDonalds there. Or if you prefer, Kasilof has the Mercantile, with a selection of basic essentials.  Your lodging is fully equipped with stove, frig, microwave & cooking utensils.  We provide a small amount of coffee/ sugar/ salt/ pepper/ dish soap & basic toiletries such as soap/ shampoo. We do not provide charcoal or fluid for your grill, and ice is not available on site. Your drive out to Aspen Hollow is about 20 minutes.)

Continue through Soldotna on the Sterling Highway, heading South towards Homer / Kasilof. (Kasilof is not a proper town – but rather a collection of various businesses, including the Mercantile & Riverview gas station – which is located on the banks of the Kasilof River.)

You will drive approx. 12 miles, crossing the Kasilof River.  Do NOT turn right off of the Sterling Highway onto “K-Beach or Kalifornsky Beach Road” ignore any signage that would indicate a right turn to reach “Kasilof”. STAY ON THE MAIN STERLING HWY. HEADING SOUTH!

Go another mile after you cross the bridge & on the right you will see a brown sign for the Crooked Creek State Recreation Site.  (The Tustumena Lodge is also on your right). TAKE A RIGHT on that paved road, North Cohoe Loop.  It is a relatively straight, paved road.  Follow approx. 6 miles and look for a sign that says "Pavement Ends" at the intersection with a gravel road to your right called St. Elias.  At this intersection, the paved road will take a 90-degree left just before it turns to gravel.  TAKE A LEFT WITH THE PAVEMENT onto South Cohoe Loop.
After you have turned left, you will go exactly eight-tenths of a mile (.8).  The first road on your left is *Gebhardt Circle.  The first of two Aspen Hollow Lodging signs is at the end of this road. Take a left here and follow straight in on Gebhardt Circle. Aspen Hollow Lodging is located at the end of this short road.
(*If you are using “Google Maps” to print directions: Note that there are significant errors in how this populates! Gebhardt Circle shows up incorrectly as Chicook Circle & is just past what appears to be Denise Street in Kasilof, Alaska. There is actually not any developed road for Denise Street. So go by “Chicook Circle” to find us.) View 2011 Updated Google Mapping here
